The Code of Conduct for Leasing of Retail Premises sets the ground rules for retail leases in Singapore. We help tenants know it and use it.
The Code of Conduct
The Code sets out leasing principles for qualifying retail leases, covering areas such as rent structures, service charges, security deposits and early termination.
SGTUFF campaigned for the Code to be formalised so that small retailers have real protection against unfair lease terms, and we continue to push for full adherence.
